Moore, Perry
Hero

Book Review by C.M.
Have you ever wondered what it would feel like to have superpowers?
This book is my favourite book, it is a mature fantasy for an age group of 15+ due to its language content if you are below the age of 15 please get a parent to have a quick look.
This book has a main character whose name is Thom who had seizures quite regularly. He has quite a big secret that was told at the end of one of his basketball games. After that event his basketball coach didn’t want him on his team anymore due to his secret. Thom was told to join the Jnr basketball team with a bunch of junior primary kids. Thom was also involved in an incident with a punk teen on his skateboard trying to get a free ride by holding on to Thom’s bike but suddenly got hit by a car which caused the punk teen and his gang to stop being stupid. This book is one of many features including Romance, Action, Adventure and a bit of humour. His dad was one of the best superheros yet after an incident he stopped. Thom has just been invited to join one of the biggest superhero squad there is the justice league ran by justice. Yet Thom has much to learn his path is just starting. I stopped reading for a long time because I found another book series called Rangers Apprentice and the EverWorld series but now having finished this book I now know I should have never stopped.
This is a wonderful book that I would read over and over it’s just a great book and the author Perry Moore has really captured the audience.

PhoenixFiles:Arrival
By: Chris Morphew
Book review by T.J
“The end of the world is one of those things that you never really expect to end up being your problem.”
What would you do if found out that you had 100 days to save the human race? Phoenix files: Arrival is a great science
fiction and adventure book suitable for ages 10-15
Meet Luke Hunter. When his parents split up his mum drags him off to Phoenix, a brand new town in the middle of nowhere. When Luke finds out that there are no cars, no internet and no phones he thinks that it is as weird as it gets. Then he discovers that someone is planning to wipe out the human race and he and his friend are the only one who can stop them. The clock is ticking. There’s 100 days until the end of the world.
Chris Morphew wrote an amazing book with so many twists and cliff hangers. I couldn’t stop reading it.

Last of the Jedi: Dark Warning
Author: Jude Watson

Have you ever had a warning well here’s a dark warning. Have you ever wondered what happened between Star Wars movie 3 and 4, well this series says it all.
Jude Watson has done an excellent science fiction adventure of a read, that would suit ages 8-15 but also people that love star wars.
This is the second book in the series where Ferus needs to find his light saber crystal so he can become a Jedi again after his accident that happened with his leg (tells more in the previous book) but a Jedi spirit has followed him to the caves on Ilium. After he found Siri’s (his master his friend the sprit) old light saber his only way outside is the front but out the front there were storm troopers and a “merr-sonn mobile grenade mortar (a big grenade launcher (if you didn’t bother to read that)). While he (Ferus) is deciding what to do Obi-Wan has gone to Polis Massa to make sure that Padma’s death has been erased from there system but when he gets their he finds that an inquisitor is their going through their shipping masesphays (the star wars shipping list) so the owner says to Obi-Wan that they have checked and double checked that it had been deleted (Padma’s death) but that they didn’t delete there shipping manesphays and that it would take a human about 30 weeks to find the correct thing.
If you wonder what Ferris will do next read the series.
